General food storage instructions

Care

  • Do not use sharp utensils in the container or on lid.
  • Containers are not intended to be stored upside down or submerged in water.
  • The product cannot be used in directly contact with a heat source — do not place the container on a stovetop, grill or in the oven.

Microwave reheating and defrosting

  • The lid must always be removed prior to use in the microwave.
  • It is recommended to use the reheat setting on your microwave or reduce the power level to 50%.
  • Stop the microwave midway through reheating and stir the food so that the heat is evenly distributed.
  • Reheating or defrosting foods with high fat, sugar, or oil content in the microwave will damage the container.
  • Avoid handling the container directly after microwaving without appropriate protection for your hands.
  • Do not place the food container directly on a counter or table after use in the microwave.

Washing

  • The container bases and lids are top-rack dishwasher safe.
  • When hand washing, avoid hand washing with abrasive cleaners and utensil.
  • The container lid features a silicone gasket that is removable for a deeper clean. Do not use a sharp instrument to remove the gasket. When replacing the gasket, ensure that it is completely seated into the channel. Certain foods that are high in acidity may discolor the seal over time. It will not compromise its utility.

Use in the freezer

  • The containers are safe for use in the freezer.
  • Avoid over-flexing the latches on the lid (flexing beyond 90 degrees) after it is removed from the freezer.
  • To avoid thermal shock, allow the contents of the container time to thaw prior to microwave use.

Microwave reheating and defrosting

  • Snaplock Clear containers feature a silicone gasket that is removable for a deeper clean. Do not use a sharp instrument to remove the gasket. When replacing the gasket, ensure that it is completely seated into the channel. Certain foods that are high in acidity may discolor the seal over time. It will not compromise its utility.

DRYLOCK® instructions

Containers & Tools

  • Lid, base and tools are dishwasher safe and suitable for use in the refrigerator and freezer.
  • The lid must be removed for use in the microwave.
  • Apply gentle downward pressure to the lid and fasten the latches.

Terra cotta disk

  • Terra cotta disk will maintain desirable moisture in all types of sugar.
  • Soak terra cotta disk in water for 20 minutes. Pat dry and store in the sugar, or clip to the underside of the lid. Repeat if sugar begins to harden.
  • Use without soaking to absorb moisture from dry goods.
  • Made from specially fired clay; food safe and reusable.
  • Hand wash with clean water only; do not use soap.

Built-in leveler

  • The 4L rectangle container includes a built-in leveler. For accurate measurements, use the leveler to scrape off the excess flour from the ½ cup scoop.
  • To install the leveler in the container, locate the notches on the inner walls, on the opposite side of the frosted measuring strip. The leveler will snap easily into place.
  • Remove it for cleaning or if you have an alternate use for the container.

Silicone gasket

  • Each DryLock container features a silicone gasket to seal in freshness. The gasket is removable for a deeper clean.
  • When replacing the gasket, ensure it is inserted into the channel and the corners in the seal are aligned with those in the lid.
  • If the container is used to store coffee, the natural oils may discolor the seal over time. It will not compromise its utility in any way.

Glasslock® instructions

Fridge, freezer and microwave safe when used in accordance with safety and usage instructions.

Read these instructions and warranties carefully and save them for future reference.

Failure to follow the warnings below may result in personal injury or property damage, or may cause your glassware to break or shatter immediately or later.

Safety

  • As with all glass products, you must exercise an appropriate degree of care, especially when handling with wet or greasy hands and gloves.

Primary risks associated with using glassware:

  • Breakage due to sudden temperature change applied to the glassware.
  • Breakage due to impact if the glassware is dropped or knocked against a hard object.
  • Avoid sudden temperature changes to Glasslock® glassware. To avoid the risk of breakage due to a sudden temperature change to your Glasslock® glassware:

    DO NOT add liquid to hot glassware, place hot glassware on a wet or cool surface, or handle hot glassware with a wet towel, wet potholder or other wet cloth.

    DO NOT place hot glassware directly on a countertop or any metal surface, or in the sink. Allow hot glassware to cool on a cooling rack, dry potholder or dry cloth.

    Be sure to allow hot glassware to cool as provided above before washing, refrigerating or freezing.
  • DO NOT use on or under a flame or other direct heat source, including on a stovetop, under a broiler, on a grill or in a toaster oven.
  • Avoid microwave misuse:

    DO NOT use glassware to microwave popcorn or foods wrapped in heat-concentrating material (such as special browning wrappers); heat empty or nearly empty glassware in the microwave; or overheat oil or butter in microwave (use minimum cooking time).
  • Be careful when handling broken glass. Broken glass pieces may be extremely sharp and difficult to locate.
  • Avoid using or repairing damaged glassware. Handling your glassware without an appropriate degree of care could result in breakage, chipping, cracking or severe scratching.
  • DO NOT use or repair any glassware that is broken, chipped, cracked or severely scratched.
  • DO NOT drop or hit glassware against a hard object.
  • DO NOT strike utensils against glassware.
